To ensure a safe and seamless experience, our standard requirements for drivers are:

A traditional age bracket of 27 to 70 (exceptions can be made if you are able to provide your own insurance policy).

A full and valid UK or international driving licence, held for a minimum of 12 months.

Planning to share the experience? You are welcome to add multiple drivers to your booking, provided each person passes the same licence checks prior to handover. Please note that Alpha Drive retains ultimate discretion over driver approval.

Two days is the minimum. The longer you hire, the lower the per-day rate, which is why our ‘from’ pricing reflects the multi-day rate. The maximum hire is 85 days. We confirm the rate for your dates on the quote.

Yes. A refundable security deposit is held against the vehicle during your hire. The amount depends on the car and is confirmed at quote stage. It’s released back to you once the car is returned in the same condition it was handed over in.

We do not offer consumer finance or instalment plans on hires; the hire fee and refundable security deposit are settled before collection. For corporate clients booking driver rewards, client experiences or team incentives, we can invoice the business directly, with standard payment terms agreed in advance and a VAT invoice issued for your records. If you are arranging a multi-car booking or a programme of hires across the year, speak to us about a simpler account arrangement that suits your finance team.

Bookings are confirmed against a deposit, which holds the car and the dates against your name. If you need to cancel, the amount refundable depends on how much notice you give us before the start of the hire; the further out you cancel, the more is returned. Date changes are usually easier to accommodate than cancellations, and we will always try to move you to alternative dates first where the car is available. Full notice windows and figures are set out clearly in your booking confirmation.
